Yesterday, Thurs Jan 25th, was not only National Opposite Day, it was also the first day of the Avalon Market Going Out of Business Sale.  An email sent out to regular customers, at about 11:00 a.m., announced the demise of Avalon, and by 1:00 p.m., the store was swamped with locusts and scavengers.  Everyone hoping to get a "better" deal than the 50% off they were offering.  Marilyn was sad and surprised and overwhelmed by the turnout.

Today, day 2 of the close-out sale, was again a record setting sales day.  Where were all these folks when the store needed more business on a weekly basis?

Marilyn's truck, Baby Blue, got a new heater core today. At $590 bucks, it was an expensive transplant for sure.
But at least now we can again park and have sex in it.
